Module allows you to output banners (for example gift image) with category link and countdown timer to last date, that set to products sale in this category. As the end date I use LAST DATE END of specials for products in this category.
So, this module allows you to output banners with category link. If category has products with sale, the module would output a countdown timer to last date that is set from all sale products. Also you have an option that displays the maximum discount percent in category or minimum price in category.
For example: you have Apple notebooks category with 10 products in it. 3 products of those items has sale:
1st prod - price: 100$; sale:50$ - till 14.02.2015
2nd prod - price: 100$; sale: 75$ - till 25.02.2015
3rd prod - price: 150$; sale: 50$ - till 20.02.2015
So module would outputs:
Category banner with link
(if use max discount){
Save to 66%
}(if use min price){
From 50$
}
Sale ends in (countdown timer to 25.02.2015)
Compatibility: module was tested on OpenCart 1.5.4.1, but should works with other versions. Let me know if it broken for your version.

1. Unpack all files from upload directory to your store root. No files would be overwritten.
