Opencart VQMod Update Tool

Everbody knows how hard it is to update Opencart if you use VQMod and it takes a lot of work to check every single search pattern. Thats why we've developed a tool
which does some of the work for us.
The program loads all VQMod files and checks the search pattern whether they are found or not. If the pattern is not found within the new files, the program does an output with the path to the xml and the searched file.
If the position is "replace" and an offset is set, the program checks if the whole block is different than before.
Of course you still have to do the editing by yourself, but this program will find for you the places to edit.
Microsoft operating system with .net Framework 4.0 or higher is required
How to use?
You can download our program for free, extract the zip file and run the vqmodcompare.exe in the extracted folder.
The program can only be run with a microsoft windows operating system and requires .net framework 4 to be installed (normaly you should have that).
We do the comparison on your local computer. Which means, to do the editing, you should download your old shop's folder to a local harddisc. The updated OC Version should be placed in another folder.
Type in the path to your xml files,
enter the path to your updated oc (where catalogand admin... are),
the path to your current oc version
and the path to a editor of your choice.
After that, click on compare and the errors will be listed.
We use Notepad++ for editing - but you can use any, that accepts commandline parameters
And the best at the end: Its for free :)

Da es für uns (sicherlich auch für andere) immer einen großen Aufwand darstellt wenn mal wieder ein OC Update ansteht, haben wir ein kleines Programm entwickelt, welches uns die Arbeit leichter macht.
Das Programm liest alle VQMod Dateien ein und vergleicht die gesuchten Pattern mit der neuen Version.
Falls ein gesuchter Pattern nicht gefunden wird, zeigt er dieses an. Desweiteren überprüft das Programm, bei replaces mit Offset, ob sich der Block, der ersetzt wird, von dem vorherigen unterscheidet.
Klar muss man immer noch einiges "per Hand" machen, jedoch hat man auf einen Blick alle Änderungen die man in den VQMods machen muss.
Wie benutze ich es?
Du kannst das Programm kostenlos runterladen, zip datei entpacken und die vqmodcompare.exe datei starten.
Es wir das .net Framework 4.0 oder höher benötigt.
Wir machen einen vergleich auf dem lokalen computer, dass heißt die template und xml dateien müssen vorher runtergeladen werden.
Dann einfach den Pfad zu den VQMod XML Dateien eingeben,
den Pfad der aktualisierten OC Version eingeben (da wo catalogadminetc liegen),
den Pfad der aktuellen Version eingeben welches momentan auf dem Shop läuft
und als extra, den Pfad zu einem Text/Html/Php Editor nach Wahl eintrag und auf "Compare" klicken.
Schon werden die Änderungen aufgelistet
Und das alles kostenlos :)
