According to Google Page Speed tips. One tip is for web pages to include the width/height tags in the rendered html.SpecifyImageDimensions

This code will automatically generate the image size tags and insert them into every img tag in your page to comply with the Google Page Speed image tips automatically.

Ocmod - no core files are going to be replaced.

Thanks again to Qphoria (link is his awesome posts in the OpenCart forum) for this code, can’t have been easy to write but it’s awesome and does the job great!

Installation Instructions: 
1) unzip the archive
2) Upload IncludeImgWidthHeight.ocmod.xml via Extension Installer
3) Go to Extension > Modifications and hit refresh button.
